Disney has just released the second trailer for Big Hero 6:
What did you think? Here are some of my thoughts:
This is my favorite trailer to date. I finally feel like we have a story.
The Between Kid is standing next to me singing over and over again, "on top of the world." So I think they are winning.
The Between Tween is already guessing who the bad guy is.
This really does feel like it is an animation studio original with nothing to do with Marvel.
Baymax feels like someone I can cheer for.
Hey...we finally saw some more of the team! Yeah, I still don't know much if anything about them.
There's a lot of day I want to say, "I am not fast!"
A lot of early Disney trailers have not worked for me. And I may not have been overly impressed with the teaser. But this worked for me and I can finally say, I want to see that.
Disney has released the first trailer for Big Hero 6. Give it a glance to see if it gets you pumped for this superhero animated release.
Here are my general thoughts.
First, lately Disney trailers have disappointed me. And this is true especially for the early ones. This trailer is okay but it does not make me want to run out and see this now.
Second, the tape gag is funny. I am just hoping that is not the funnest part of the movie.
Third, as several have pointed out why are they not making it clear this is a Marvel property?
At the moment I am all hands on deck for Guardians of the Galaxy. The same cannot be said for the live action little brother. But I am still willing to be won over. And since it is Disney, Marvel and superheros I would go if it was paint drying for 90 minutes!
We do get to see Kanan the Jedi Cowboy in action, and I do think this is a hero we are going to want to see more of. It appears he is continuing the struggle against the Sith in the shadows.
There is a Mandalorian helmet! And it is on one of our rebels! And it's a female! Is she a bounty hunter? How did she get this helmet? I want to know more!
Overall, I think that Star Wars Rebelsis going to be a success. And like the Marvel cartoons on Disney XD, it will help prepare us for the movies. Perhaps the key to moving forward to the newest movie is to see Stormtrooper armor yet again!
I have been hearing more and more about an Independent movie about the early life of Walt Disney called As Dreamers Do. Here are the first two trailers so you can see for yourself what the filmmakers are planning.
In interviews that I have heard with the producers they have stated that they basing their story based on what Walt Disney stated in his stories. And as you can see there is a real mouse throughout the trailers, based on a story which Walt Disney told about having a pet mouse. And that story may be more myth than reality. But I am kind of excited about seeing a biography based on how Walt Disney positioned himself...not just the fact.
Honestly, we had a fantastic superhero summer. And I really applaud Marvel and Disney for providing us The Avengers, which was action packed and super super fun.But with The Dark Knight Rises, behind usand not finding time to watch Looperyet, the latest James Bond offering of Skyfall was all that I had to look forward to in future live action offerings.
And then Marvel released the first trailer for Iron Man 3!Building on The Avengersand its recent home video release, well I got excited again.
What did you think?Things explode a lot, including things I do not really want to see destroyed.Tony mentions New York, a clear reference to The Avengers and how it changed him.He clearly is not mentally doing well when Iron Man 3 opens.I do question how his friend Captain America or at least a few random S.H.I.E.L.D. agents do not show up when someone blows up Tony Stark’s mansion! But maybe that will be explained in the movie, or maybe they will be there.I am not sure about Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin yet.He does look super creepy, give that guy a nice refreshing shower.
Thank you Marvel and Disney for getting me excited for May 3, 2013, and giving me a reason to get excited for live action again!I just hope this installment is as Mousey as Iron Man and Iron Man 2.
Are you a
hobo?The Between Kid over the
last few weeks has asked us that question at very random times.Watching TV, are you a hobo?Eating, are you a hobo?Playing the backyard, are you a
hobo?
I am a little
slow sometimes, and the Between Wife who saw the original Wreck-it-Ralph trailer only once put two and two together.
So it appears
that the marketing campaign for Wreck-it-Ralph has reached the hearts and minds
of the youngest members of the Between Household.
So, it’s the
prefect time while the iron is hot for Disney to release a new trailer for this
November release.
What did you
think?We have already seen much
of the group therapy session.But
we get more video game cameos with Dig Dug and Sonic.I really enjoyed the hit a guy with glasses joke. But I kind of wish that we did not see
how Ralph did in his tour with Hero’s
Duty.Still the Between House
is pretty excited for this feature!
Disney and Pixar have released not one, not two, but four different version of the teaser trailer for Monsters University. You can see all four slightly different versions here.
Version #1
Version #2
Version #3
Version #4
I don't know about you, but I can't wait until Summer 2013 for us to get the prequel to Monsters, Inc just based on the fact that I have yet to see a Pixar sequel I did not like. And I like seeing new Mike and Sully in this trailer.
